Bowls is a target sport, played on a flat grass surface. It is similar in concept to the Italian game of Bocce or the French game Petanque. A ball (bowl) is rolled toward a smaller stationary ball called a jack. The objective is to roll your bowl nearer to the jack than your opponent's bowl. The Garden Route Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Centre rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned birds of prey. Guided tours offer a rare insight into the lives of these magnificent birds.
