It rests between the beautiful Outeniqua Mountains in the North and the warm Indian Ocean in the South.
The Wilderness Farm Backpackers is located on the old farm "Uitsig" which is an Afrikaans word that means "The View". This name was given duly as the 360 degrees view consists out of ocean, mountains and lakes.
The Wilderness Farm Backpackers is set in an old milk dairy that was converted into a backpackers. It has two bedrooms with 4 bunk beds in each room. There is a large open plan kitchen-living room with a bar. Outside there is a braai area and a shaded stoep overlooking the Indian ocean.
The farm does not function commercially but a large variety of vegetables are produced with self-sufficiency in mind that can be bought when in season. There are horses and cows on the rest of the farm. We also have three dogs on the farm yard.
