Arrive 10h00 – enjoy a cup of tea/coffee & cake on the deck of the elevated clubhouse with a wonderful view of the Outeniqua Mountains at Three Chameleons short golf course before a fun round of putt-putt (duration of this activity - approx. 1 hour 15 minutes). Arrive 11h30 – be met by a Redberry Farm representative who will take you on a tour of the farm where you can pick your own delicious strawberries in the fields followed by tea & scones at the Tea Garden (duration of this activity - approx. 1 hour 15 minutes) SILVER LILY CHEESE FARM Arrive 13h00 – watch the interesting process of cheese making before a delicious cheese platter lunch is served accompanied by a glass of wine or fruit juice (pizza for the children) - (duration of this activity - approx. 1 hour 30 minutes) UTOPIA GAME FARM Arrive 14h30 – an informative talk from Gerrie Booysen on his Emus at the farm whilst watching these large, flightless birds interact followed by a game talk and the feeding of his Eland (the largest of the antelope family) End this great day in George with tea/coffee & biscuits. The menu at Down to Earth is much like the architecture thus simple, wholesome but with style and finesse.
The restaurant boasts its own wine cellar where patrons can select their wine from a wide variety of excellent options.
The restaurant is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11.am till late and on Sundays from 11.am till 3pm. During school holidays the venue is open every day besides Mondays. The venue also caters for functions, weddings or private parties. The Bush Lapa, Set in an African rustic theme, provides traditional food cooked on an open fire. The open-air setting is quite unique. One can sit around the fire, gaze at the stars, or have a grand stand view of Mosselbay in the distance. In the one corner, an intimate stage provides the perfect setting for a host of local artists to display their musical talents.
The Bush Lapa will be open 7 days a week for the duration of the summer holidays, from 10 am until late. The seasonal dates are from 5 December 2008– 11 January 2009.
