Alpine Inn Restaurant: Hungry for a typical German restaurant? Stop looking! Schwabinger Stuben has come to George! The restaurant is next to the Alpine Inn, a 3-star graded Hotel in Blanco that is part of the same business. Schwabinger Stuben is a welcoming, hearty sort of place. The food is traditional German home cooking. The way my mother made it. Our portions are very large and our prices extremely reasonable. The SPECIALITY dish is Eisbein and we have a large variety of rustic German dishes to choose from.

Down To Earth Restaurant: The Down to Earth restaurant is built of clay and straw with a rugged but stylish interior. The restaurant has a sweeping view of the Indian ocean which is framed by the silhouette of Mosselbay in the background.
The menu at Down to Earth is much like the architecture thus simple, wholesome but with style and finesse.
The restaurant boasts its own wine cellar where patrons can select their wine from a wide variety of excellent options.
The restaurant is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11.am till late and on Sundays from 11.am till 3pm. During school holidays the venue is open every day besides Mondays. The venue also caters for functions, weddings or private parties. The Bush Lapa, Set in an African rustic theme, provides traditional food cooked on an open fire. The open-air setting is quite unique. One can sit around the fire, gaze at the stars, or have a grand stand view of Mosselbay in the distance. In the one corner, an intimate stage provides the perfect setting for a host of local artists to display their musical talents.
The Bush Lapa will be open 7 days a week for the duration of the summer holidays, from 10 am until late. The seasonal dates are from 5 December 2008– 11 January 2009.
