If you are looking for a fun and original day out there is nothing that rivals the Redberry Farm experience. As one enters the farming area just outside George on the Geelhoutboom Road, you will be in awe of the rows and rows of strawberries in what is now known as “Strawberry Country”. Redberry Farm is the first beacon that greets tourists along the beautiful Outeniqua Hop Route, where one is lured in by the sweet aroma of ripe berries.
Once you’ve chosen your container, you will be guided to the “Pick Your Own” strawberry fields, where you can take a carefree walk through the farm with the majestic Outeniqua Mountains in the background. The best time for juicy sweet strawberry picking is from August to January, although Redberry Farm does pride itself in having strawberries all year round. CURRENT ATTRACTIONS: Pick Your Own R15 or R25 container. Enter the rows upon rows of strawberries and take your time filling your container, as you enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery. Strawberry Express R10 per child / R20 per adult Our miniature railway has 700m of track that winds through a portion of the maze, around the strawberry fields and into a tunnel, providing plenty of fun and adventure! Pony Rides R10 per child Our resident ponies are very friendly and love to take children for a trot around their paddock. During off-peak times, pony rides are only available on Friday afternoons and Saturdays. Bubble Ball R20 per child / R30 per adult (Maximum weight 70kg) Experience the thrill of walking on water as you make your way across the dam. Great to expend the kids’ energy right before departing! Please keep fingers at a safe distance. Outdoor Playground Play area for children (free) Our well-equipped playground is known for amusing little ones for hours as they immerse themselves in outdoor play. Farm Stall Browse our wide variety of delicious strawberry and farm fresh products, and find a special memento of your trip. Restaurant We serve a breakfast and lunch menu with a strawberry twist.
